Reports
Sapphire’s reporting and query tools have been designed with non-technical development staff in mind. A library of standard reports is provided. These reports can be used as is, or customized by changing both criteria and the parameters of those criteria. Both criteria and parameters can be saved as new custom reports and even placed on a user’s “Favorites” list for quick access.
In addition to the Standard Reports, Sapphire provides a query tool with two levels of capability:
Basic – which is focused on the information most often used on a regular basis – in clear, easy to use choices
Pro – which provides a wider selection of criteria and logical capability – presented in a plain English, non-technical interface.
Mail Merge Assistant
The Mail Publisher has been designed to provide everything you need to make mail merging simple and easy in one place. You can build mailing lists by using any report or query criteria. You can immediately view and edit each merge field on the list and also directly access and edit any constituent record!
Each list can be saved for future use, rerun against the latest information and assigned a merge document to run automatically with that list.
A letter activity can be created in each constituent record on the list for reference and reporting.
Quick Entry Assistant
Sapphire allows you to select default settings for data when creating new constituents or gifts in both constituent record and spreadsheet formats.
Sapphire offers great flexibility since defaults can be overwritten, changed and turned on or off at any time.
You can also select specific previously saved gift records for quick review, access and edit capability - A great aid and timesaver to ensure accuracy of your gift data.

Data Editor
Sapphire includes a powerful, yet simple to use data maintenance tool that makes reviewing, correcting and updating data easier and more efficient than ever – improving the integrity and currency of your data and your confidence in it.
You can choose key subsets of your constituent records, select only the particular fields you want to review and place them in an “easy to focus on” spreadsheet. You can select any combination of records from the list and immediately correct or update data in any of the fields you are viewing.
Data Editor is also a great research tool as you have direct access to the full record of any constituent on the list to review or edit.
Data Transporter
Sapphire’s Data Transporter dramatically increases your control of the data import process. It not only allows you to see the data your about to import, it lets you edit it prior to import from inside Sapphire.
You can add or delete records to the file and also edit data globally or for selected records. Editing data is done in a spreadsheet format that provides every field and even the associated drop down tables.
Data importing has never been so easy, accurate and powerful or less time-consuming, frustrating and intimidating.
Data Transporter
Sapphire provides the same view and edit data features available in the Data Editor and Data Transporter to its accounting interface – plus additional advanced data management capabilities directly related to the tasks and requirements of your accounting office.
You can set up to import by detail or to summarize detail entries by accounting codes for easy summary journal entry. Sapphire will automatically create the correct import file format for Quickbooks, Financial Edge or FundEZ – or export directly to Excel in summary or detail.
Imported gifts are tagged to avoid duplication and produce accurate posting reports. Importing gifts to accounting has never been so helpful to manage and control.
Sapphire Today Dashboard
Sapphire Today has been designed to provide real-time, up to date reports of key constituent and gift activity – all on two “quick view” summary screens designed to be tremendously helpful to every development staff person.
You can directly “drill down” to the detail of the entries behind each summary report – to both view and edit. Summary reports – including automated graphs - can be sent to Word or Excel in a single click.
Sapphire’s Mail Merge Assistant is immediately available for quick and easy merging of the records in the detail lists.
Each user can assign often-used reports, constituent records and mail merges to a Favorites list for immediate access.

Customer Support
IMS is dedicated to doing everything possible to support our clients’ success. Technical and Help Desk Support is provided via phone, email, online and onsite.
Standard Customer Support includes online meetings that allow for remote viewing and “remote control” to enhance our ability to provide all customer support services as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Training
IMS training is based on the philosophy that each client has specific training needs and training is based on those needs.
IMS encourages training in shorter (typically half-day to one day) sessions. This allows staff to more easily absorb training material and problem-solve with other staff on an on-going basis.
We suggest training with a sample of actual data – with the focus on “real world” tasks, activities and needs.
Training can be provided both onsite and online and is coordinated with the entire implementation and conversion process.
Conversion and Data Services
The combination of IMS’ corporate experience converting data for numerous systems and the unique features of Sapphire’s Data Transporter make converting data easier, more thorough and more controllable than ever before – and typically at a more affordable cost.
IMS will help you analyze your conversion needs and provide an estimate based on what is most cost effective for you.
As data is in the process of being converted, the Data Transporter will allow you to review your data, edit it, and make changes globally or by selected sets of records.
IMS can also provide the most current USPS address and CASS updates to ensure you receive the lowest possible non-profit postage rates.
System Requirements
Sapphire runs under Microsoft Access (versions 97, 2000 or 2002) which can run under Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP operating systems and with any Windows compatible network systems such at Windows 98/NT/2000 or Novell.
Computer/workstation requirements:
IBM compatible 100MHz Pentium computer (300MHz or higher is recommended).
A minimum of 32 MB (megabytes) of RAM (random access memory) – 64 MB is recommended.
Hard disk with the at least 100MB of free disk space.
2x CD-ROM drive (double-speed) or higher
256-color VGA or SVGA monitor or better is recommended. We recommend a resolution of 800 x 600 or higher
